Josh White, Personal Trainer

I began my career in the fitness industry in 2006 in Halifax Nova Scotia.  An athlete all my life, it wasn’t long before I knew I’d find the most satisfaction in life from helping people reach their own accomplishments   I’ve worked one on one at client’s homes, taught numerous fitness based classes as well as on site trainer in fitness facilities. Along with being a certified personal trainer, I also hold certifications as a TRX suspension trainer (New York 2010) and as an Agustu Kettlebell trainer (Halifax 2009).

“Train movement, not muscles” is statement that reflects my approach to fitness.  Met training (Metabolic training) is the foundation for my philosophy as it’s more engaging and less mundane than a typical resistance work out.   I believe working out should feel more like a hard day working on the farm or landscaping your backyard.  Hard work is to be expected but all programs are scaled to the individual and increased before any kind of comfort level can set in. A single one hour session can include extensive resistance training, TRX, Kettlebell training plyometric training, HIIT training (High Intensity Interval Training), stairwell sprints, sport specific training as well as beginner Muay thai / boxing training.  Proper structure in mind, fitness is an evolution and no session is repeated in the same sequence.

I believe that we train to improve our quality of life.  Life becomes more enjoyable when the everyday things are effortless, walking up stairs or carrying groceries.   I train my clients to become balanced and strengthen all areas of your being.  We train to improve athletic performance, increase flexibility and joint mobility, aid injury recovery, gain confidence and of course achieve all the esthetic benefits along the way. The programs we construct are to ensure you exceed all goals you may have. Whatever your fitness goals are, they can be exceeded. Personal training is a service based on results alone and I take exceptional pride in seeing my clients reach their goals.
