Palooka’s Executive Fitness features top of the line equipment with a customer service promise of no-wait, and no-downtimes. Our expanded fitness schedule now includes Triple S, Core & More, PUNCHFit, Yoga Stretch, SPIN, TRXFit and more.  There is also a semi-private boxing area includes a heavy bag and an uppercut bag.

Palooka’s cardio equipment consists of state-of-the-art Treadmills, Ellipticals, AMT's, Row Machine, Stair Master, Exercise bikes as well one of two facilites which provides members with Expresso Bikes and the Technogym™ Cardio Wave in all Halifax. All of this equipment adds up to greater fat burning potential, and an increase in your daily energy level. The cardio area is wired for your pleasure so grab your headphones and hook yourself into your favorite television show on satellite tv or simply enjoy the scenic views of the Bedford Basin.

In addition to our high-end cardio equipment, we have a variety of the latest Hammer Strength and Life Fitness Selectorized equipment and Hammer Strength Ground Base machines which aid in total muscle development. Ground Base technology offers the most advanced feet-on-the-ground positioning for traditional or explosive sport-specific training which stimulates real-life movement to build better balance and total body stabilization. To top it all off, our strength training areas are well-equipped with three of the latest Iron-Grip free weight dumbbell racks to strengthen and tone your body.

TRX Fit

This combination class engages all your muscles using your own body weight in intervals of TRX suspension straps and full body circuit training. Build overall strength, balance and flexibility. We set the reps, you set the intensity.

 

Triple S

Stretch. Strengthen. Sculpt. Reclaim your body and improve your overall fitness. Mix it up with cardio, weights and stretching to increase physical strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. This low-impact, full body, circuit-style class gets high-impact results.

 

Yoga Stretch

Enjoy a 45-50 min Yoga-style stretch before or after your workout. This is not a traditional Yoga class but Yoga-style stretching. You will enjoy a short beginning and ending meditation with Yoga-style stretching reaping all the benefits of a traditional class in a short amount of time.

 

Core & More

This is a fun and challenging workout for exercisers of all ability levels and is designed to make you leaner and stronger, while improving balance, stability, agility, and core strength.  

 

PUNCHFit/Women's PUNCHFit

Experience the stress busting benefits of boxing.  A class based around hitting focus pads and punch bags with a good serving of abdominal and leg work on the side! Increase your heart rate and burn fat!

 

Tabata Boot Camp

Want to get fit in 4 minutes? Tabata Training is the single most effective type of high-intensity interval training. In this class, you'll work through a series of Tabata intervals that follow this structure: Push hard for 20 seconds. Rest for 10 seconds. Repeat eight times. This class is tough, so bring your energy and prepare for one of the best interval workout you've ever had!

 

Shane's Sweat Shop

This is a fast-paced full body workout that blends cardiovascular and strength training together to maximize results. Improve your core strength and sweat out hundreds of calories in this circuit training boot camp. 

 

SPIN

Stay cycling year-round with our high-energy group SPIN class. The intense lower body workout will help improve stability and speed while toning and strengthening.
